Unless you’re using some crazy topping, pizza is very grateful to add wine.
There is stock, tomato sauce, cheese and garnish. The background is nice and neutral, and has no issues.
Everyone loves pizza and many eat frozen pizza. It’s simple, but the pizza will be better if you make it yourself. Then you can use better ingredients than they do in the finished pizzas, and so it tastes better.

The tomato sauce is a bit sour, so it’s good if the wine is chilled, otherwise it can quickly become a bit dull in the face of the sauce. The freshness of the wine also goes well with the cheese. It’s oily and needs something acidic that can cut and clean.
It was the red pizza, which we gradually called pizza with tomato sauce. It is becoming more and more popular with white pizza, ie without tomato sauce. Here you can put the cheese and filling directly on the bottom, or you can spread a thin layer of fresh cream first.
If you’re using meat, sausages and such on the white pizza, you can drink red wine, but we’re talking seafood, it’s probably better with a white wine. And like red wine, it should be healthy to cut the fat from cheese.
Five Italian wines under 150 crowns
Since the pizza is Italian, we selected five Italian wines to suit. Since we assume most people eat red pizza, we chose four red wines and then included a white wine as well.
We put ourselves on the moderate side in terms of price, and all five wines cost less than 150 crowns.
A more in-depth discussion of the five wines can be found below. We’ve ranked them by drop points, and in cases where wines score the same points, we list the cheapest first.
